Today, on 4th of October 2019, at 11:00 am (Greek Time, GMT + 2), the procedure for submission of Tender offers in the framework of the International Tender for the Concession of a wide-range activities Casino Operating License (EKAZ) in the Hellinikon - Ag. Kosmas Metropolitan Pole, pursuant to Call for Tenders Ref. 1/2019 (Amendment Document), was completed.
It is announced that two (2) investment schemes have submitted their offer, within deadline, in the context of the above Call for Tenders, namely, in alphabetical order:
- MGE Hellinicon B.V. – Mohegan Gaming Advisors LLC – ΓΕΚ ΤΕΡΝΑ Α.Ε.
- SHRE/SHRI, LLC
Mr. Evangelos Karagrigoriou, Chairman of the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), after the submission of the offers, stated:
“Today is a milestone for the implementation of the Hellinikon iconic investment and, in particular, the implementation of a world class tourism and leisure destination, with multiple benefits for the Greek economy, as this Integrated Resort Casino is expected to be, according to standards that we have set in the RFP.
After the Tenders were submitted by the two Participants, a major milestone for the success of the Tender and the Casino licensing procedure was completed.

Pursuant to Decision No 382/1/01.04.2019 of the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), an extension for the submission of offers and comments on the draft of the Concession Agreement for the concession of a wide-range activities Casino Operating License (EKAZ) in the Hellinikon - Agios Kosmas Metropolitan Pole (Call for Tenders Ref. 1/2019) and on the draft of the Land Agreement is granted.
Specifically:
- The deadline for the submission of offers is extended until May 31, 2019, 11:00 (time in Greece, GMT +2).
- The deadline for the submission of comments on the terms of the draft Concession Agreement is extended until April 19, 2019.

The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) announces that on March 29, 2019 the Preliminary Appeals Authority issued its Decision No. Α142/2019 regarding the request for interim measures included in the Preliminary Appeal dated 18.3.2019 with General Submission Number (GAK) 350 / 19.3.2019, which was filed against provisions of the Call for Tenders Ref. 1/2019 of HGC for the concession of a wide-range activities Casino Operating License (EKAZ) in the Hellinikon - Agios Kosmas Metropolitan Pole.

Regarding the Call for Tenders Ref. 1/2019 of HGC for the concession of a wide-range activities Casino Operating License (EKAZ) in the Hellinikon - Agios Kosmas Metropolitan Pole it is announced that on March 19th 2019, a preliminary appeal was lodged on certain clauses of CfT.
The full text of the preliminary appeal is available on the Virtual Data Room (VDR) of the Tender, where each interested party may require access as specifically defined in Annex II of the CfT, in order to exercise in time the right of intervention provided for in article 362 of Law 4412/2016.
Pursuant to Law 4412/16 and article 9 of PD 39/17, each interested party may acquire a copy of the appeal from HGC premises.

Pursuant to Decision No 378/3/19.03.2019 of the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), an extension for the submission of comments on the draft of the Concession Agreement for the concession of a wide-range activities Casino Operating License (EKAZ) in the Hellinikon - Agios Kosmas Metropolitan Pole (Call for Tenders Ref. 1/2019) and on the draft of the Land Agreement is granted.
Specifically:
- The deadline for the submission of comments on the terms of the draft Concession Agreement is extended by seventeen (17) days, i.e. until April 7, 2019.
- The deadline for the submission of comments on the terms of the Draft Land Agreement is extended by five (5) days, i.e. until April 1, 2019.
The remaining terms of the Call for Tenders remain unchanged.

The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) decided to conduct an International Tender for the Concession of a wide-range activities casino Operating License in the Hellinikon - Ag. Kosmas Metropolitan Pole.
The International Tender will be conducted on the basis of the most economically advantageous offer based on the best price-quality ratio.
HGC has posted on its website (www.gamingcommission.gov.gr) the Call for Tenders.
Interested Parties will be able to receive information about the Tender by accessing the Virtual Data Room (VDR), which contains the Concession Agreement Documents in digital form and other supporting information.
Tender offers shall be validly submitted until 22 April 2019 and no later than 11:00 (Local time, GMT + 2).

The Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC), being the competent authority to prepare and execute all tenders related to the granting of any new casino operating license in Greece, hereby, invites all interested parties to participate in the consultation process for the granting of an Integrated Resort Casino (IRC) license in the Hellinikon - Ag. Kosmas Metropolitan Area (“The Hellinikon”), which initiates today, Thursday, August 9, 2018, with the publication of the Teaser and will last until Monday, September 10, 2018.
The Hellinikon Casino goes beyond the licensing of just another gaming facility. This present call reflects the collective vision and commitment to collaborate on the further development and implementation of a sustainable tourism destination. The HGC envisages a “world class” Integrated Resort Casino operation as an important part of the Hellinikon, a project destined to transform the wider area of Athens and improve the lives of millions of residents and visitors of our capital city, enhance the Greek tourism product and become a growth engine for the Greek economy.
Over the next few years, the Hellinikon will become an international business and financial hub on an exquisite location. The Hellinikon, a landmark urban development project will utilize investment amounts of up to € 8 bn., creating 10,000 jobs during the construction period and 75,000 jobs (IOBE study, July 2016) during its maturity.
The IRC site can yield an area more than 600k sqm and is envisaged to be developed as a large-scale iconic lifestyle destination with a compelling mix of a resort development comprising hotels, convention and exhibition facilities, themed attractions, entertainment, casino gaming up to 15,000 sqm buildable area, shopping, gourmet restaurants, cultural elements, and other tourist attractions.
Interested parties are encouraged to take part in the consultation process that is being launched today, and to communicate to the HGC, on a strictly confidential basis, their feedback and comments on this investment opportunity for a pioneering project not just in Athens or Greece, but in the whole of Europe.
